Hello everyone....
Good responses but we need an action plan......just by typing in our support does not mean a penny.....so sharma....what r our objectives.....let all of us list out our need and possible suggestions....
Then we need to draft a letter and sent it to the Health dept of the central govt.....Letter to the Health minister and a bill must be approved and passed at the parliament
Then comes the implementation bit
But first and foremost set out regular rules and guidelines ....
When we demand a council......We are all expecting that someone will sit and set up a council.....
Thats wont happen.....we should research the trends of council settings in other countries, We should get as many members of IAP and other organisations sign a memorandum declaring the need and then we can correspond to The WCPT and WHO about our need....this should be the preliminary plan.....
With the Back up of WHO and WCPT...we have a strong point to make before the ministry of health in INDIA.........
We need to be organised.....
So we must form associations at home and overseas.....I am in the process of building an association of Indian physiotherapists in The UK.(AIPU)...SIMILAR ORGANISATIONS CAN HELP IN FUNDING OUR ASSOCIATION FOR THE CAUSE.
INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF GRADUATE PHYSIOTHERAPISTS is another organisation with similar goals..we can liase with them or rather organise a meet with them.....Currently they are an active group.....we should be looking to formulate a safe plan so that all of us, dpt, bpt or mpt...should survive and enjoy good status...thus maintaining physiotherapy a reputable and respectable profession
