Cant Wait To Become A Physio!

    Taping
    hey all,

im planning to do a masters of physio, probably at sydney university. Anyone similar or have any input id like to hear?

I know its a masters of physio so i dont know if you can specialise in say musco, ortho, cardio etc? but have a sneaky preference of ortho and then sports injury.

wonder what they pay is for your first year after graduating? i wouldnt mind starting off at a hospital.

Not sure you can do that in Aus without an undergrad physio degree. You can however do that in Scotland, UK

Actually this is NOT what was said. The comment was that you can get into a masters program to study physiotherapy at the masters level in Scotland without first having an undergraduate physiotherapy degree. I am not sure that this is possible anywhere in Australia.

I don't like you chances of getting a Physio job in the UK right now with an undergradutate degree from India. I would suggest looking at your eligibility to gain HPC registration if this is your ultimate goal.

Re: Cant Wait To Become A Physio!

i've just completed my masters of physio studies at UQ and basically, it's just the normal physio, if you want to specialise, i think it's another 2yrs and you have to have like at least x amount of yrs experience before you can move into a specialised area.

    Hi
I have too graduated as a physio from India in April'07. I am in this country only since 5 months. I donot have any experience of employement neither in India nor in UK. I got the job of Junior Physio recently in Scotland. I agree that the condition is poor at the moment but it is not impossible.

    All the best
