There is a 22 old year patient. Basically She is a physical therapy student. she became model for purpose of demonstration in her class. the teacher asked her to actively flex cervical spine in standing position while grabbing her C7. She felt pain but it was bearable. So she ignored it. the next day twitching in her face started. there was also swelling and pain in left side of face. next day the twitching somehow settled but now her whole upper back(Trapezius) is in spasm. the pain is also radiating in lower back. and cervical flexion is very much painful.
does cervical flexion while grabbing C7 can cause such exaggerated response and involve face so drastically?
what could be treatment plan as her pain is not settling down . therapy modalities are giving only temporary relieve.
