Hi Laura,
Chris Norris runs basic acupuncture courses. If you found a venue and enough people to do the course then he may be the lecturer.
I am looking to find out would anyone be interested in running an acupuntcure foundation course in Scotland in the new year? The only thing i can find in the forseeable future is in Fife and is fully booked. Ideally it would be in Glasgow. Or if anyone knows how to go about organising a course or anything coming up.
thanks in advance.

Excellent, I've just notice that he's doing a course in sheffield shortly. Do you think that this course is suitable for a junior grade? I qualified in 2006 and was working privatley doing bits here and there and am now working in outpatients for 7months. The course is nearly £600 for which they want the cash up front (its a lot of money just before chrimbo!). At present i feel like it would be a good adjunct to other treatments I am currently practicing and my contract is only temporary so feel that while i have the chance to practice now is the time incase I end up in a rotational post in six months time. My senior thinks its too much money and would be better starting off with something cheaper just now like one part of the cyriax course etc. What does everybody else think?
I'm another junior physio, but I've been lucky enough to get a permanent rotational post. I think £600 a lot of money to spend...unless you plan on working in that area permanently, you may end up with something rotational and might not get the chance to practice accupuncture for a while. It might be better to save the cash and if you decide to specialise in MSK (e.g. at Sen II/I level) then do the £600 course....at least you can then use the skills immediatley.
there are plenty of other MSK courses about you could do which don't cost the earth, and would be transferable in other rotations (e.g. in a neuro setting).
Hope that helps!
I would agree with Oscar. Its something that you need to be able to use regularly or you will loose your skills. The acupuncture courses will always be there, so I would do some other courses until you decide to specialise.
