Hi, I'm new to this forum and would like to know about biofeedback systems for gait re-training, particularly for post-stroke patients and amputees. There is a lot of work using EMG, I'm also interested in positional and force-based systems.
What practical experience have you had?
What are your opinions?
What equipment or cues do you use to help form your judgement when re-training a patient's gait? E.g. mirrors, EMG, force plates, colleagues, conversation with the patient(!) - other than the patient, which is most valuable to you?
Have you considered alternatives?
Many thanks
Graham
