    Finding Work as a Physiotherapist

    Taping
    Hello,

I am considering a career in physiotherapy but a friend is warning me off- saying that it is very difficult to get onto a course and even more difficult to find a job at the end of it.

    Is it really so hard?

    Thanks

    Leif

There are always Physio Jobs out there in every corner of the globe. Sometimes they just aren't being advertised. Drop into any local hospital department and you will find there are probably several.

That way taking up any course is dicy as there is tough competition in every field...
also being in this profession, we get to serve people ....so according to me, it is a nice ,satisfying field which has so much to explore...!

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
there are countries, cities, universities, where it is very difficult to get into the physio program, why? because the programs have a very good reputation, very high standart, and are therefore very popular. I don't think that's bad.
there are countries where physio jobs are difficult to get, but in most cuntries we are still very much in demand. Also, as a physio you can always work independently.
The question seems to be, why do you consider to become a physio? What attracts you to our profession, what do you want from this line of work? What do you know about it?
Maybe you could "shadow" a physio for a day or so to get a better idea of what we are all about.
    good luck for your future!
