We all know that disease and illness is affecting more and more people.
However, one thing I have noticed, most of these people are shuttled away from regular society - with good reason - into hospitals, hospices, care homes etc.
Statistics say that 50% of populations in UK, US etc. are obese, but you won't count those numbers in general public. The reason? Perhaps because they are so functionally limited, or ill that they are very often in patients. I feel this is a growing concern regarding health issues in society that need to be dealt with. What is physiotherapy's position in regards to this?
