Ok, this problem I am having has a long history and now it's compounded over the years.
First off, my name is Michael. I am a baseball pitcher ever since I was 8 years old to now 24.
When I was 14 years old I hurt my lower back pitching.. and was told by a physiotherapist that my left pelvis was slightly higher than the right. Solution was to hang the right leg off of a stair and bring the foot above the left foot.
Fast forward some years I had a period of health from 19-22 then at 24 years old I did a subluxation of my T4 rib left side..... this injury developed throughout the baseball season until *last straw thing* I had this subluxation popped 3 times.. the first time everything felt great.. the third time it felt like this was going to be a chronic problem.
Fast forward to the last three months
I have had both T4 and T5 out of alignment continously. The muscles were so tight around that area that if I hadn't been going to massage I would of suffered arthritis.. So now the muscles are kinda relaxed but what happens is that the T4 and T5 get pulled out of alignment and I have to keep going to the chiropractor.. what is worse is that my C3 and C5 apparently were mis-aligned as well..
So my intuition takes me back to when i was 14 and this pelvic imbalance
-left pelvis is in flexion
-the right pelvis is in extention
and my pitching which has left my muscularity completely unbalanced.
1. Left Glute is stronger than Right
2. Left lower back is stronger than Right
3. Those V shaped abs believe it's transverse the Right is bigger than left.
4. Upper Right Trap,Rhom,Lat is stronger than Left
Doing lunges is the most obvious imbalance to highlight my structural weakness on one side... the natural pitching motion has me landing on my left leg.. when I try to lunge on the right.. weakness..
I want to believe that if I get my pelvis equal and muscularity more balanced while working on posture Ill be much better off.
As far as the condition of this longstanding injury goes.. 8 months now.. I would say it's improving.
My chiropractor is concerned because he keeps treating me just to re-align the spine but he wants me better.. so he gave me some posture exercises and rhomboid exercises.
What do you guys think.
