Undoing pain signals to the brain so that it can forget the body was injured. will not be of much help. What you are trying to cope with is not a chronic pain state but a episodic history, because you have been re hurting your back every time you go to the gym. You need to have your therapist to gradually restore you to your normal functions and advise you on the exercises in the gym.
