    re: The Bowen Technique

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
Has anyone researched/trained in this technique? If so, how effective have you found it?

There happens to be an article on Bowen in this month's "Physiotherapy" magazine. Did you read it?

    re: The Bowen Technique

I had heard that the Bowen Technique was developed by an Australian Butcher who spent alot of time owrking out the best way to tenderise a nice piece of sirloin. He started massaging friends who just loved it. Then he hung up the knifes and started pinching humans instead.
Seriously I have had a few patients who have had the technique and the treatment did seem to be effective in the applicable cases.

    re: The Bowen Technique

I have found Bowen Therapy extremely effective technique, which is very gentle, and can readily complement physiotherapy practice. Accurate Bowen information can be found at Bowtech.com. Tom Bowen who developed Bowen Therapy was very professional in his therapy and an independent government body found he treated up to 13000 people per year, when he was alive. Recent reearch demonstrates Bowen induces the relaxation response. As Bowen is relatively young, research is not extensive with Bowen, but there are a number of European papers on this area.
