    re: Thoracic referred pain

The typical pain pattern indicate that there could be a costovertebral dysfunction. The typical movement dysfunction in this case would be related to the type of dysfunction like a expiratory dysfunction would cause limitation of Tsp flexion. contralateral sidebending and rotation and vice versa for inspiratory dysfunction. The patient would benefit from pure grade 4 PA's or a gap manip., whichever you are comfortable doing. If you have more questions you can email girish.padmanabhan@calgaryhealth region.ca.
