    Ultrasound for deQuervains

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
    Hi all,
I’m undertaking a dissertation on the treatment approaches used by physios for deQuervains tenosynovitis and I was wondering if anyone knows of any papers studying the effects of Ultrasound as a treatment approach? I have found none despite having seen it used in practise.....is this a treatment approach many people use? I would appreciate if anyone could suggest any papers or knows of surveys, which look at its use by therapists.
    Would appreciate the help. Thanks

    ultrasound for de Quervain's

I have used US sucessfully. have also used laser and acupuncture (not together) with success. Usually reccomend icing and splint also + ergonomic review with respect to triggering factors. (based more on clinical experience with other injuries than specific literature). Marj

    De....

You will not fine a study in this regard.

    You can check
    1) Neurotension tests
    2) U/S is use to decrease the symptoms
    3) Splint use is recommended night and during activities if the patient is+++ irritable use the splint at all timess to start.
    Goood luck.
