    Hi ara01,
    Lumbar list can be there in the presence of acute or subacute disc problems. If it is acute condition, then you should not use traction. But if it is subacute, then you can use traction and depending on the clinical evaluation, you may decide the purpose of traction. This will guide you to set the parameters, position of patient, etc...

    is there any evidence back up for the comment of your's regarding acute phase and traction???
