    Pitch side Physiotherapy

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
I am 3rd year student of Physiotherapy, with Bsc in Sport Science and International diploma in Sports Massage, of which I'm insured to practice. Could anyone tell me what they charge for pitch side trauma and what amount I could charge, bearing in mind travel time away could be up to 3-4 hours one way for some games
    Thanks

    Re: Pitch side Physiotherapy

As you would not be working in the capacity of a Physiotherapist we could not really tell you what to charge. I would be careful re: insurance and overstepping what assistance you can give, especially for a fee, that relates to sports massage. I am not sure a BSc in sport science qualifies you to treat anything? I might of course be wrong on that. Maybe you should assist in a free capacity until you graduate or offer pre and post massage at what ever is an appropriate charge for that type of service.

    Re: Pitch side Physiotherapy

As Physiobob says I would be carefull with regards of scope of practice. A sports specific first aid qualification might be the place to start.

With regards to pre and post event massage you can pretty much charge what you want within reason. I know of some therapists who charge £20 and others up to around £50 although this is usually for private clients in a clinic setting.
