Understanding Pain

Hi guys

I'm a Physio student and I'm trying to get my head around the concepts of pain, sensitization/centralisation and the neurophysiological effects of physiotherapy techniques upon these things and so on.

I can appreciate this is a pretty huge area, and this is where I'm struggling to find, where do you start to go about learning it?

Any particular texts/papers/other resources would be really helpful.
