hi, I am new to the forum as I was lying in bed last night thinking... wouldn't it be good if we had a network of physios that shared great ideas and experiences and ideas about what works for them with patients, so I googled physiotherapy + forum, and voila!!
so have a think and post a description about what works for you...
I will start. I think what works well for general back pain where the patient is tight and restricted in motion ( but not discy) on day one of seeing them is to loosen up Psoas and Quadratus lumborum either with soft tissue techniques, dry needling or stretches, and show them how to do this at home, will give them up to 80% relief and increased motion!
Of course you still need to assess their stability and start working on that, but as a quick fix.. this works
