    newborn with facial palsy

I have a 3 month old baby with left-sided facial palsy caused by intrauterine injury. He completely closed his eyes while sleeping since the very next day of delivery. Now after 3 months, his blinking has only partially recovered and there is still some deviation of mouth while frowing, smiling and crying. Also his eye does not close when he cries, but is almost fully closed when he sleeps. When he is not expressing anything he looks very normal. I use artificial tears and eye ointments for lubrication.. Since there is no treatment available for a newborn with FP, all I'm doing is waiting for it to recover fully on its own. I would feel happy if some of you share your experience in treating newborns with facial palsy.
    Thanks in advance..
