    Constraint induced therapy

I work in a neuro rehab unit where we are currently looking at the effectiveness of constraint induced therapy. The literature appears to suggest a period of 2 weeks intensive therapy with an average of 6 hours training a day. I would really like to hear from anyone who is putting this into practice - Has anyone set up any protocols for length of time constrained, minimal requirements for participating in CIT, objective measurements, type of training etc?

    re: Constraint induced therapy

No, I have not run any studies and have come across a few trials of uncertain validity - but I have seen it work empirically with oustanding results even two and half years down the track on a spastic hemiplegic upper limb.
The limb was restored to almost normal function - and the reason behind the 'program' was a severe fracture of the contralteral humerus!!!!! If any one has run proper trials - let me know too!!
