Hi Estherderu

Just thought I'd keep you updated since our last discussion on Kinesio Taping. I recently completed a clinical placement in neuro rehab and in my final week did a presentation on KT. I presented to a number of senior physio's who were extremely sceptical initially - particularly around the proposed reasoning for KT application and the possible neurophysiological effects. However, my masterstroke was having some KT available for them to try out. Using some of the resources on youtube and a little bit of experimentation we applied KT to assist in maintaining a functional hand for reaching. The feedback from the group at the end was really positive - they even suggested they might purchase some KT with a view to using it on the unit.

I'm about to begin my dissertation in which I'm comparing KT application to McConnell (i think!!). If you know of any other useful resources I'd be really grateful for more information.
