Question Interview Questions for Senior Stroke Physiotherapist post.

Hi everyone. This is my first post on this forum. I am currently preparing for an interview.

I have found that setting myself questions and detailed answers for them is my best way of preparation.

I would love it if some people could come up with some questions I could be asked (the more difficult the better). I have already got a few (as below).

1.What are the categorisations of Stroke
2.Discuss the anatomy of the Central nervous system and types of stroke they cause
3.What are the causes of altered muscle tone?
4.What is an upper motor neurone syndrome and how does it present.
5.What is the medical management of an acute stroke
6.What outcome measures are used for stroke patients
7.What evidence is there to back up physiotherapy in stroke rehab
8.What guidelines are there for Stroke patients in the UK and Worldwide
9.What are the prognostic indicators for recovery
10.What are the physical methods of stroke rehabilitation (evidenced)
11.What are the current issues in Stroke rehabilitation

What is the theoretical basis for your treatrment options. As you can see from this article lots of physiotherapists can not do this.
Informa Healthcare - Physiotherapy Theory and Practice - 10(4):201 - Summary
The key line is: As in the Swedish study, although the respondents were able to describe their treatment choices, they had difficulty explaining the underlying theoretical basis for their choice.

    Hi,
I also fine your questions a little strange.
An interview is not an exam.
    How about:
    - Have you ever been in a situation of conflict and how did you resolve it?
    - A student under your care is at risk of failing. What are some appropriate ways of dealing with this?
    - What are your typical signs of being under stress?
    - What do understand by "supervision" and how is this best used?
    - How did you learn about this position and what kind of information about this post and our NHS/ hospital have you so far gathered?

    Good luck,
    Fyzzio

thank you. I know its not an exam but they do have answers they are looking for they will tick off as you go. The first 4 of my questions would never come up but I find it helps structure my preparation.

Those are brilliant questions. Thanks again for the help.
