Hi,
I am always concerned about generalised statements and performing activities for the pure sake of it, so I would like the following recommendation:
- get an assessment by a Physiotherapist specialising in Neurology/ Spinal Injuries to establish current abilities/ exercise tolerance etc. and to determine patient goals
- the Physio will then develop a standing protocol, which will be monitored and aim at gradually increasing standing duration and frequency - if so desired
There are guidelines for standing after spinal injuries, but they are always adjusted to the individual's needs and goals.
Regards,
Taimana
