    galvanic current stimulation

    Iwant to know a very simlple criterion for weening of the galvanic current stimulation in the case of bracial pleaxux injury with muscle power of 1(oxford scale). when to stop the stimulation woth galvanic.

    As a rule electrical stimulation should be abandoned when muscle gets the ability to produce the movement. Electrical stimulation should be replaced at this stage by active exercises. Generally if the muscle gets the grade 2 ( complete range of Motion with gravity eliminated or decreased), the electrical stimulation should be stopped, concentration on active exercises should be emphasized.

    i do agree

    i do agree with last comment ,,,,may be now in grade 2 you can just follow up by assitive ex's in active manner to complete active ex's and when grade 3 or 3 plus is gained you can just move to active resistive ex's to gain power for the muscles

    i think u have to shift to faradic curent 1st and then stop when active movement is possible.
