Dear all,
I've reacently started working in a general practise in the Netherlands and don't have a lot of experience yet, I've come across a patient with a problem I can't find a logical explanation for.
It concerns a middle aged woman who came to me with cervical myalgia and tension headache.
The above mentioned wasn't vey hard to confirm in asessment and I've started treating with massage and postural correction. After 3 treatments there is some improvement but it is slow.
Hower, in my asessment I found a hyperalgesic spot just laterally from the spine L2/3 region (right side). It is so sensitive that even touching it will give the patient day's of discomfort.
Skintone is also different on this spot, slightly darker.
She has had this for as long as she can remember and her GP couldn't explain it either.
Does anyone have any idea's in which direction the cause could lie?
Thanx for your input,
Evert.
