Dominant activities in Gross and Fine MR, Stroke rehab

    Hi All,

I am in the early stages of planning Clinical trials for Stroke patients using an amalgamation of 'off the shelf' commercially available equipment such as next-gen video game hardware (wii's/**** etc.)

I am looking for some decent resources regarding the activities associated with Physio rehab - specifically Upper limb rehabilitation of a Hemiparetic patient following Stroke.

Is their a dominant/reputable set of activities/exercises for both fine, and gross motor function? I realise developing a physio routine will be very bespoke, but I am after some resources which can point me in the right direction. What is the current state of this area?

Primarily i'm after resources which might be able to answer the above questions. Used the search function and was unable to find a specific answer to this question.

Thanks in advance for your time,

    Owen

Re: Dominant activities in Gross and Fine MR, Stroke rehab

    Hi,
Just a thought. Try Wiihabilitation for some ideas and links to research using the Wii console, balance board etc.
Hope that this is of some assistance
