    back pain rehab

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
we ahve recently developed a chronic back pain program. It is unidisciplinary and uses a cognitive behavioural approach.I would be interested to hear about similare programs in relation to the following:
What screening/outcome tools used and if they are used to help to determine suitable candidates.
if you have any links with local employers, leisure centres.
what impact the group has had on your waiting list/1-2-1 contacts
    many thanks for any informayion
    regards
    Helen

    re: back pain rehab

i am in the process of setting up a back stabilisation programme and i am also looking at ways of measuring outcomes. the best one that i have found so far is the Oswestry low back pain disability questionnaire. you can find this either on the internet or by looking at the following reference: physiotherapy, august 1980, vol66, no.8 i have not tested the questionnaire yet in practice. i would appreciate your comments.
