would be beneficial if you could train up the stabilizer m. around the shoulder joint
Dear Colleagues
I have been treating a patient, who is a
diabetic, after he has undergone Arthroscopic procedure
for his shoulder.
He is regularly taking physiotharapy treatment but now
there is a clicking sound of his shoulder which is
caused by subacromial bursitis.The Supraspinatus
tendon is popping out of the groove. I need to know if
there is any treatment available for the bursitis or
for that matter if there could be anything else other
than bursitis. I am planning to Iontophoresis with Salicylic Acid and Lidocaine solutions with strength 0.1 M for bursitis.Let me know if any other effective treatment is available.
Thanks and regards

Hi.
How do you know that the supraspinatus (ssp) is popping out of its groove and that the subacromial buritisis is causing the clicking? i.e. what tests have been done to conclusively come to this statement?
If it is definitely that, then why is the ssp popping out of its groove? Is it too tight or is the gelnohumeral (GH) joint too loose and subluxing causing tension?
Your proposed treatment might treat the symptoms in the very short term for a very short relief period but i would think addressing the reason why it is causing the pain in the first place would be paramount.
And in agreement above, stabilising the shoulder would be a priority.
