Tests for assessing the efficiency of an ND rehabilitation program

    Cerebral Palsy In Infancy
What are the golden standard tests for assessing the efficiency of a ND(cerebral palsy) rehabilitation program, more specific regarding balance strength range of motion or if you have any other suggestion

Re: Tests for assessing the efficiency of an ND rehabilitation program

    For starters,

I would have to say, the GMFM, GMFCS and the PEDI in general and the QUEST and MACS for manual function. These are all well know and accepted measures monitoring functional progression. In many ways they do assess strength and ROM.
They do not assess the efficiency of rehab programmes, but the efficiency of the individual child.

For more information on all these tests go to CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research
Most of the above measures are free downloadable.

    kind regards

    Esther
