    Re: sensory integration

SI actually has a big role in treatment of CP, usually children suffering from movt disorders experiences problems in organizing sensory information due to their limited movement opportunity most of the children suffer from hypersensitivity which results to fear of movement which could lead to further deprivation of sensory input. Though treatment of children with CP using the SI frame of reference is different from children with SI problems alone or children with no physical dysfunctions it is always a very good choice to look at the SI frame of reference when assessing a CP patient I in practice usually employ SI and NDT techniques during treatment though not at all times it quite depend on the child
