postoperative rehabilitation after spinal fusion for correcting adolescent scoliosis

    Cerebral Palsy In Infancy
    Hello everybody!
I have been asked to make a study about postoperative rehabilitation after spinal fusion for correcting Wikipedia reference-linkscoliosis in children. I have started searching for articles and other info but haven't found something to base upon my study. I actually haven't found articles on postoperative rehabilitation which is the main subject I'm supposed to analyze.
Could anyone give me some help about databases, articles' titles, books or anything else?
    Thank you all in advance!!

    Hi there Iliastolos,

I don't know of any articles for your specific topic, but here is a link to a post op rehab study in children with CP, although is quite specific to outcome measure comparisons. Anyway, maybe it'll help you.

Comparison of the Gross Motor Function Measure and...[Dev Med Child Neurol. 2000] - PubMed Result

In case that the link doesn't work, the article title is:Comparison of the Gross Motor Function Measure and Paediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory in assessing motor function in children undergoing selective dorsal rhizotomy

A very good web page to find information about pediatric physio is,
CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research

I hope this helps. Good luck on your search.

    Eva

Re: postoperative rehabilitation after spinal fusion for correcting adolescent scolio

    Hello!

    Can I join to iliastolos!
I know it was almost one and half a year ago, but I'm in the same trouble.
I have to make a study in the same topic (about postoperative rehabilitation after spinal fusion for children with scliosis). I've started searching too, but still, after more than 1 year, couldn't find anything intresting except some short protocol or article.

So if anybody could help me with some advise, where I could search or with some titles, I would be really happy!

    Thank's a lot!
