It's a bit difficult to describe but i'll try... it's on my left side and if i put the heel of my hand into the area at the bottom of my rib cage towards the centre of my back where your ribs sort of meet the the muscles of your spine, if i press there i'm getting a pain. If i don't press it, i can't feel the pain but the area sort of feels a bit strained/bruised almost. Doesn't hurt when i move or exercise, only when i push on the area and actually more as i release my hand.

Any ideas? Should i stick some ice of it? I did mention it to my physio and she said it's an area where a certain muscle joins but i can't remember what muscle she said.
I would just be shooting blanks to be honest, it sounds like a muscle/fascia tightening or a trigger point of the muscle from spasm. Either/or Its too difficult to say here alone.
