What do you hope to achieve in your first 6 months if you are successful in this post

Please help me I need some advice on what i should be including in this presentation. I have to give a 10 minute presentation on what I hope to achieve in the first 6 months of the job. Anyone have any ideas please, as this is my first interview after looking for many months?

Hey there,

Difficult time for you at the moment figuring out what to put into the presentation, I bet.

I suggest having a good read of the job description/role profile - it will tell you exactly what they want. They may not use very accessible language but it will give you some good main points to start off on.

One other main lesson I've learned (I presume that its a hospital job that you're going for) is that you are paid not just to be a clinician but also, and mainly, to provide a quality service. That is what they are looking for.

Its all about management
- managing change
- managing people
- managing the service

Good concrete examples of the same.

By the way, get in contact with managers or seniors from previous jobs, student rotations and ask. The worst they can say is no.
