    Brief Medical History Overview

    Ankle Pain

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
Ok so yesterday i was playing a " soccer " match. I was running and went into a tackle the goalkeeper kicked the ball right at me and my ankle got kicked and twisted. As soon as i scored i felt a pain in my ankle, in the past i've went over my ankle loads of times and normally it goes away the next day. But i woke up today and i cant move my ankle left or right without it being in pain. Its sore when i run/jog and its so painful when going up and down the stair, it also cracks when i go down the stairs aswell. Although its not very sore when i am walking.

Any idea whats wrong / how long it will take to get better?

    Thanks Lisa.

    Hey

Sounds like an ankle sprain, most common is a lateral ligament sprain. These take between 6-12 weeks depending on the severity. During this time you are usually gradually getting back in to normal activities, stengthening etc. Check out Rehabilitate prevent perform physiofixme for more info!!
