ey,

Recently started training for a half marathon and i bought shoes based on the wet foot test that stated I had a high arch.

When i go for a run (even as short as 3 miles) I get severe tight pain in my achilles whilst and after I run up hills for any prolonged period. This pain get almost unbarable if I slow down at all to walking pace. I require to stop entirely.

The pain goes away quickly after a couple of minutes and I can continue to run on flat or downhill but as soon as the uphill sections come again the pain gets worse and worse.

I do not believe I have an injury as I play football regularly and can run on a flat treadmill for eternity without suffering any sort of pain.

Similarly I do not seem to get this tight pain when running outside on flat or downhill areas.

Could this be my shoe? Is there any suggestions to combat this problem?

Thanks in Advance
