Hi there, me again! 'An update'
I last wrote to you 14 July, and your advice was very encouraging. Here's an update on the injury: I've had the MRI which showed torn cartilage, damaged cruciate and muscle damage (??), the orthopods told me to start weight bearing and bending my knee again (it had been in a brace for a full 4 weeks). I've been doing that for 10 days now and my knee hasn't given an inch, I'm still unable to walk unaided - using crutches - the knee swells up continuously and I have throbbing pain to the front of the knee cap after weight bearing for 30 mins plus. I'm becoming depressed and can't see a light at the end of this tunnel! I've asked to see the consultant again for a review, but other than basic info on massaging the knee, doing leg lifts and sliding my foot on the floor to encourage my knee to bend I have had no other physio advice. Should I be regularly seeing a physio now? It's been 6 weeks with minimal change. Help!!!
