Hips and shoulder out of alignment
Hi All,
I am new here and found this forum after my first visit with a physiotherapist today. I have had pain in my hips since I was 17, when I had my hips bruised and sprained in a car wreck. I was always told my problem was sciatica (the lingering pain) and my shoulder has been hurting me off and on for a few years, I think that started in 2005ish...
I recently completed two pregnancies. I had a daughter in Sept. 2007 and another daughter in Dec. 2008. I have had various complications with these pregnancies and I know that they really put a beating on my spine, both of my girls were over 9 lbs. I developed planters facetious and have constant pain in my legs. I have a short stature, 5'2 and needless to say these babies were really cramped
I am also overweight which I am sure contributes to my problem.
Now that I have finished my background spiel, here is my question. The physio said my left shoulder is mis aligned and that my hips are misaligned. the measurements she showed me were 45 35 and 35 45. Maybe someone can make some sense of that.
She said that going to a chiropractor would not work because I have been living like this so long. My question is would a visit to a chiropractor typically be beneficial for someone with my ailments?
Thanks so much! Glad this site is here!
