Brief Medical History Overview
click in leg
I had a fall a week ago and had a wierd development yesterday!
In September I fell on my coccyx and was still not 100% recovered from this when I fell on a very wet muddy grass bank and to avoid hurting coccyx more I managed to slightly turn to the right as I fell..big mistake as I injured my right bottom leg from ankle to knee and ended up in A&E being X-rayed for suspected fractured fibula. I was told it was a sprain and was sent away with no medication or strapping. I could hardly walk but next day it didn't feel so bad. The pain was in ankle and left side of knee and at right side of calf but over next few days pain variously worse and better in these locations. I was on holiday with a friend so didn't do much walking on it just in and out of the car to eat or to sit in a concert. I had a walking pole which I used to help me walk. The day I returned home (yesterday 7 days later) I had an appointment with my doctor but she didn't examine it just read notes which said soft tissue injury and signed me off work for two weeks.
The wierd thing was that I didn't feel too much pain in the morning but as we don't drive I walked to and from surgery and by the time I got home could hardly walk and felt a clicking in the right side of my calf - and sometimes a pain in this location - which is worryingly still there.....has anyone any idea what is happening? I am a 56 year old female who has osteoarthritis which has affected my hands and knees.
