Could be as simple as a slightly dysfunctional acromioclavicular joint (AC Joint). Get your local physio to take a look. If that's all it is you can usually sort it in one to two treatments
Whenever I raise my left arm in the air or use my cross trainer (extending my arm in and out), I can hear my left shoulder clicking, my right one doesnt do this as much (though it does do it a little), and its been something that has happened for a long time, could there be something seriously wrong with my joints? Im worried as Im only 26 (female). Im not in any pain. Can this be norma, its been there so long I think (although Im not always raising my arm over my head lol). I dont lift weight or anyting so havent injured it in this way, but I do sleep with my weight on my shoulders in bed (I just seem to land up in this position, with my left arm knd of up round my neck so I guess my weight is resting on my left shoulder.

So it sounds serious enough to need to do something about even though theres no pain? Most people have been saying its kind of normal and everyone has something that clicks sometimes...kind of scared now, I was just planning on leaving it alone. So it couldnt just be a trivial enough thing because of way I sleep or something like that? Not sure my gp will refer me to a physio, he doesnt seem to like referring me anywhere lol
It's probably not serious at all. But if it is the AC joint then you can get rid of the clicking pretty easily. Why put up with it if you don't need to? It must be frustrating you in some way for you to have posted a forum thread? Just go private for one or two sessions. You don't need to see the GP at all for that.
