    Reconstructed ACL Using Hamstring - Have I Damaged It?

    Hi All

    About nine days ago I had an ACL Reconstruction using hamstring graft and I understand the surgery went well.

    However, during the middle of the night (when I did not have the brace on) I got up to go to the toilet and I did feel a bit of a brief sharp pain when I stepped off the operated leg, although by no means was it severe. There was no slip or fall, more like a give way episode when I stepped on and off the operated leg - I think it went to full extension and it didn't like this.

    Would this have likely to have done permanent damage to the reconstructed ACL?
