I had a type 5 dislocation in my left shoulder , torn ligaments and fracture in color bone . A hook plate was used to mobilise the shoulder and the ligaments repaired .

Started physio 2 weeks after surgery and things went very slow but did get full movement assisted , and strength increased also .

Had the hook plate removed after 12 weeks , ( 4 days ago ) . Dr says I cant do anything for 2 weeks , no physio or excersizes .

I dont understand why , I would like to do light stretching ( things I did at the begining of the physio after first surgery ) .

Why would he not want me to do anything ? , plate removal is a simple procedure and the incision is not longer than 6 cm along my color bone .

Any comments would be appreciated .
