    Brief Medical History Overview

    Broken lower tibia and fibia

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
I broke my lower tibia and fibia 7 weeks ago now after doing a tandem skydive and having a bad landing. My left leg twisted backwards and the lower tibia has completely snapped on a curved slant. The hospital orignially said they were going to operate but after a few days they decided it was too risky as the bone is too thin, so it was manipulated into place as soon as I arrived into A&E and i've been in the same full leg cast since. My problem is that the tibia bone isn't re growing and they have now given me a bone stimulator machine to use for 8 hours a day for the next 4 weeks until my next appointment with the consultant. No-one is really telling me much, i would like to know if this is successful, how long it might take to heal completely and if it will heal completely and how much physio i will need?
