    Brief Medical History Overview

Post Op trochanteric Bursitis Surgery Mishap

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
    Hi All,

I has this surgery just over a week ago but yesterday I lost my balance and stumbled (didn't fall over). I have never known pain like it and thought I was going to pass out. The staples on the incision are still in place but my hip and thigh is now extremely sore. At the time it felt as though something in my hip had snapped, gone round to my bottom and then twanged back to my hip. I'm not really sure what was involved in the op. My real question is should I go back and speak to the doc at the hospital now or wait to see my physio which is booked for this Thursday. Does this just sound like a muscle problem??? Greatful for any advice x

    Kate

Hi - when i doubt, see the surgeon if possible - find out if all is ok...we physios can only do so much before we have to refer you back to the srugeon anyway so go straight to the person who operated on you !
