    pain in legs while cycling

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
while out cycling today on my mountain bike i had to ride up a short sharp hill which caught me out. i didnt have chance to change gear so tried powering up,within a few seconds i had pain in both legs just above my knee's on the inside of my legs.the pain was so intense it stopped me in my tracks, i could hardly stand let alone ride. i had been riding for about 2 hours, and ride regularly. the pain eased after about 2 mins, but happened again later while relaxing

Was the pain in the quad muscle near the kneecap or perhaps the inside of the knee right at the joint line? Either way it's probably a strain/sprain of some sort which should improve over time; you might check out your mechanics when pumping hard uphill and see if your knees tend to drift inward - this could be the cause of the injury to begin with
