    Brief Medical History Overview

Avascular Necrosis of the femoral head

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
I had a core decompression done in jan 2011. However, still having acetabular/hip pain. Some days are better than others. At work I am up and down, walking all day. Xrays show no damage to joint space. I understand the procedure is 65%-70% successful. I'm concerned about the lingering constant pain I feel though and hopefully I won't need a total hip replacement anytime soon.
I was just wondering if anyone has the same post surgical symptoms and what they're success rates are/were. My surgeon says he will base my success on my pain levels and xrays.
Anyone have any words of encouragement or education? I'm new at this forum stuff so I will check back with ya'll probably tonight or over the weekend. Thanks a bunch.

Can you explain a little more about what was done in your 'core decompression'. If you have any x-ray to post that would also be useful. Are you young as this is not a typical presentation for an older person.
