hii ,
I recently got plate on left foot's fibula as it was broken from tip(lateral mallelous fracture) and I came to know about fracture after 4 months so had no option other than surgery.That plate has 3 screws , 2 very much above the crack and 1 right below the crack...
Now Doc. told me that he will be removing my plate in 4 months only ...isn't it early ???
Can removal of that plate lead me to fracture again as screw holes would be in fibula and it is very thin bone??
How much will I have to give get it healed to normal after plate removal operation.???
I am a dancer.
after how much time will I be able to dance after plate removal ???
note::
plate was fit in my leg on 22nd of june and right now I'm having splint on my leg

Hi, you should direct your questions regarding your lateral malleolus fracture to your orthopaedic specialist or physiotherapist. They will be able to determine the most appropriate treatment and time frames for recovery / removal of the plate etc. based on a number of factors such as the fracture severity, location and clinical presentation.
Good luck with rehab,
