    Ankle Popping

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
Over like 5 weeks ago now I sprained my ankle I believe fairly bad. I kept it wrapped up for a while and took anti inflammatory pills it feels better I can walk on it but sometimes it hurts and is a little swollen still and if i turn it a little to bad it hurts like crazy.... Also I will be walked and it will pop sometimes every time I step on it for a while.

    Re: Ankle Popping

You've had no investigations, so you may want to check out the Ottawa Ankle Rules on yourself (though 5 weeks after the fact may not be very telling). At the time of injury, these help to decide whether an x-ray for fracture is a good idea or not.

Typically, doing these on yourself may be difficult if you're not up on your anatomy. So it is a good idea to seek professional help.

The problem with ankle sprains (with no issue of fracture) is they occur so commonly, most people don't get proper rehab for them. Which sets up a cycle of constant ankle spraining because balance and proprioception are never retrained, so people lose balance much more easily than they used to combined with a compromised ankle, so another sprain. So it's a good idea to go for rehab.

And your question is? This might be a useful addition to your posting. (although some good general advice was provided above).
