Hi there, 8 weeks immobilisation will result in some shoulder joint stiffness, hopefully not an adhesive capsulitis.
However with a dedicated shoulder range of motion program it should gradually stretch out so that full range is returned.
Focus on external rotation, abduction and elevation and the combination of these plus hand across body and hand behind back stretching.
Certainly some specific shoulder mobilisations of the shoulder and AC joints may help in improving the range.
Keep at it and focus on movement first, then scapula and rotator cuff muscle activation and eventually strengthening.
Get some assistance from a trusted physiotherapist.
