Hello
I have just finished week three after having mini open Latarjet surgery. I will see the Physiotherapist tomorrow for the first time.
I would like to know how regularly I should go to a physio for maximum benefit. I would like to supplement my free treatment with extra sessions if it is beneficial, I am a rock climber and do a lot of sport so I want to do whatever I can to give my shoulder the best rehabilitation, get range of motion back as quickly as I can and get the muscles working asap (apart from the biceps which I know I have to wait to use)
My surgeon indicated that I cannot do the exercises alone to begin with and I should see the physio at least twice a week, but as it is the NHS he cannot tell a patient whether any more physio than that in the initial phases would also be beneficial.
Thanks
Milly
