    Brief Medical History Overview

    Age: 22, Male, Symptom Behaviour: constant, Easing Factors:: Flexing muscles, Investigations: no lordosis, maybe slight lean back by 15 degrees, No Diabetes, No history of High Blood Pressure, No Medications, No Osteoporosis, No Hx of Cancer, No Unexplained Weight Loss, No Bowel/Bladder issues

    posture issues, help needed

    I'm trying to get the best posture possible when not flexing, because I think I might have some posture problems, and it shows especially from side view.

    We can see my belly sticking out further than my chest.

    In my opinion, some problematic areas could be:

    - Small chest. Bigger chest will contribute to a more balanced look, but from that pic it doesn't seem like it would be enough.

    - Weak transversus ab. If my TA is tighter, it could also contribute to a more balanced look by pulling the belly back...

    - Perhaps a little anterior pelvic tilt.
    I don't have hyper-lordosis, I had x-rays a while back and the results are good. (screencast.com/t/TFIKaPDl)

    - I seem to be leaning a bit backwards at the chest area.

    Despite my weak chest, it seems like all the other problematic areas are eliminated and still making my body look well balanced and nice.

    Any suggestions or help on how I can work on getting the best natural posture and side view body possible would be very helpful.

    Are you actually getting any pain or symptoms?

    First of all, it's not a great picture for assessing your posture as having a front/back and side view is best...and you can't really see your back from side on in that photo. Your posture doesn't look "awful" to me from looking at that picture, and in the picture where you're "flexing," you're not really flexing much at all, so it's difficult to see what you mean. Standing up tall and ensuring your neck is in line with the rest of your body and you're not slouching/letting your shoulders round will improve your posture. Imagine there is a string going through your head and sit up as tall as possible / use a rolled up towel or lumbar support when sitting to ensure you maintain good posture.
