Hi Hoban91,
Kind of difficult to judge where you're having the pain from your description. Did you have an x-ray on it to rule out a fracture at any stage?

Age: 21, Male, Presenting Problem Since: 3 Months, Symptom Behaviour: remaining constant, Symptoms Worse (24hr Behaviour): Always the same, Aggravating Factors:: Applying pressure, or using my wrist for example, to open a bottle, Easing Factors:: Not using my wrist. It is not painful all of the time, No Investigations, No Diabetes, No history of High Blood Pressure, No Medications, No Osteoporosis, No Hx of Cancer, No Unexplained Weight Loss, No Bowel/Bladder issues, Other Info: I think I have answered as much as I can in my post. If you think there's more, just ask :)
Slight medical history is as follows:
I used to weightlifting4-5 days a week. I stopped my routine around September of last year due I moved country and am travelling for a year. From weightlifting, I used to get a twinge from time to time in my left elbow but upon loading up with fish oils, it went away. It randomly returned from time to time, but the fish oils kept it at bay it seemed.
I am 21 years old, the wrist problems started happening when I was still 20. When I was 15, I broke my leg and got what's called 'Compartment Syndrome' ;- be careful if you Google (can be quite graphic), in my right leg.
It all healed up fine after a year or so of recovery. I started getting knee issues about 3 years ago, and they have been constant ever since. My knee cracks and my right leg is not as strong as my left. My right leg can actually be very noticeably smaller than my left, when I am in my weigtlifting routine. I never did get the knee checked out, as it wasn't causing any pain.
The Accident:
In short, I was quad-biking and crashed into a tree. I went semi-over the handlebars and my wrist (and hand) bent backwards. I immediately pulled myself back onto the seat (without leaving go of the handlebars, as I was only kind of lying on the front of the quad-bike. This is where I aggravated it, I assume (probably foolishly). Dragging myself back over was probably what really did the additional damage.
I was pretty quite for the night after that, as it was very painful. Of course, being idiotic, I kept drinking; and for the following 2 days, we were all drinking. I didn't have it wrapped until 72 hours after. It went quite black from bruising, and was very swollen. I had it wrapped for 48 hours, only a bandage after that (but I was also aggravating it constantly due to working - manual labour).
Fast forward 3 months, and I'm so sick of it now, I want to get it sorted. I went to the physio for the first time last week and he said most likely a sprained ligament (difficult to diagnose?).
The pain is in two places primarily. Underneath my thumb, on my persons side, just at the top of the wrist. Also along the wrist on my persons side, up to about 2 inches down it.
It gets aggravated from doing stupid things like typing on a keyboard for a long time (my job right now, web developer), opening bottles, picking up stuff randomly gives me a jolt of pain (sometimes)... and I can't lean on it or apply pressure to anything at all really.
I'm due back in the physio tomorrow, but I'm curious as to if any of ye have any other solutions or treatments that I can try. I have been so careful not to hurt it now for so long, and it is literally driving me mad. Also, I want to get back weightlifting full time again. It's been too long
Thanks in advance people

Thanks for the reply f1progeny,
I went to the physio (who also happens to practice acupuncture) and that's where he determined the root of the pain is. He proceeded to jab me there and from what he said, there was redness around it, its a good sign. From my point of view, and I did tell him this, the paid doesn't radiate from that area.
It's hard to determine the exact region where the pain begins, but if you look at the image, that is as close as I can get. It radiates around a bit though so it's not just in these areas, these seem to be where the sharpness of the pain occurs.

Thanks again
Edit: I apologise I missed you x-ray question. I have only had it checked by a physio once, that was around 3 months after the incident. No other medical treatment sought. It is really bugging me now because I can't get back to my hobby which I love so much.
Talk about depression :c

Update:
Pain still ongoing. Haven't done any lifting but I did investigate and I think the source is in fact coming from the snuff box. It is difficult to say though.
More recently I have moved back to Ireland so I now need to get to a physio here and see if they can diagnose the problem. My god it is irritating. It has been many months now.
