Recurrent hamstring injuries when sprinting
I am very active and usually do some sport either weight lifting, cycling or playing rugby or football about 5 times a week. In the last few months I have pulled my hamstring several times, I'm fairly good at waiting until it feels good before playing again and it doesn't bother me if I don't sprint but when I do it seems to be a matter of time before I pull it. I pulled it again sprinting in rugby on Tuesday so since then I have been icing and wearing a compression bandage to try and help it heal as quickly as possible. I would really like to know what the likely cause is (from a quick google I'm thinking I need to try and balance my leg strength by improving my hamstrings?) and the best way to rehab it if this is the case. Thanks for any response.
